How wonderful to read this tonight, and so apt! I have just watched Jerry springers 'Who do you think you are' and like him lost many of my family to the holocaust, so the memories I have, which are few are very special .....so many quiet heroes! We each keep the ripples rippling!
That poem is beautiful, you can almost clse your eyes and see the scenes unfolding... Wonderful! Thanks for sharing it with us

Beautiful and thoughtful words Trevor.

No wonder we love you.

I miss my granddad like Billy-o. It's good to remember him and feel his love now, even though he's apparently not really 'here'.

Or is he?

What a lovely thing to write Trevor. Funny but also very moving and no doubt stirring many memories within....

Thanks for sharing Uncle Bill with us. I think it’s right that we celebrate our quiet heroes who managed to live in the moment and make small but important differences to the world around them.
