"Quest Trained" Standards
 |
|
For therapists to use our "Quest Trained" badge, they must agree to follow these standards:
- They must have passed the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD). This is the only externally validated Hypnotherapy qualification in the UK and conforms to the National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy. It was established by the NCH as a benchmark for training quality that the public could have confidence in, and to separate holders of it from the many Hypnotherapists who have only had a minimal amount of training.
- They must be members of the National Council for Hypnotherapy and comply with their code of ethics. We think the NCH is the most credible of the many accrediting bodies because of the standards they demand of their practitioners and the schools they accredit. We think it’s important that they’re a cooperative rather than privately owned – can you think of a profession whose regulatory body is a private business? Most other accrediting bodies in Hypnotherapy are.
- They must not belong to any other hypnotherapy organisation unless it’s a member of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations. We consider this the lead body of organisations in the UK who are working to raise professional standards and move us towards meaningful self-regulation.
- They must practice what we teach - Cognitive Hypnotherapy. We think this is the most advanced use of hypnotherapy available and we expect the public to get the benefits they would expect from our claims.
- What they won’t do is use testimonials, offer guarantees, promise 95% success rates or impose their ideas on you. This is the real world. We want you to come to see a QIT Cognitive Hypnotherapist because you can trust that they’re as good as you can find. We don’t think slick marketing is the way to win that trust.
Some of our graduates also go on to specialise in particular uses of Cognitive Hypnotherapy. You can click on the icons below to find more information about them.
