“I’ve tried a number of other solutions but nothing works. What’s so different about you?”
Does this sound familiar? Perhaps you’ve even been to see a hypnotherapist before but were not completely satisfied. The Quest approach is different.
It’s different because our Cognitive Hypnotherapists are taught a thorough understanding of the mind and body, grounded in modern neuroscience. This is combined with a training in hypnosis and NLP from a therapeutic perspective, forming a very powerful approach. The framework in which we work is a flexible one in which there are no scripts or set procedures – instead we deal with you as we find out, tailoring our approach to your needs. That means that a Quest therapist or coach can work with you on any issue.
“Ok, but how does it work?”
You come and see the therapist/coach for a number of sessions at their place of work. A session typically lasts between 60-90 minutes. The number of sessions will depend on the issue and your progress, but Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy technique and so it is normal to need only a handful of sessions. During a session the therapist/coach will talk with you and may work with you using hypnotic techniques. You’ll remain conscious at all times, will remember everything, and the effect is much like a deep relaxation or day-dreaming pleasant state. The therapist/coach may set tasks for you with your agreement between sessions.
“Does it mean I’ll have to relive past experiences?”
The Quest toolset includes regression techniques, but they do not involve you reliving the full pain of past events. It might surprise you to know that you can work on a problem without even telling your therapist what it is or giving any details.
“How can I trust Quest people?”
We are really proud of the people we train. We know how hard they work to graduate, how hard they work to build a successful practice, and the excellent work they do with their clients. It also takes commitment on their part to be able to use the Quest Institute Trained badge and be shown on this website because we want it to represent a standard of excellence that the public can have confidence in. To use the badge they must agree to follow certain standards.
